In Moe’s on the Road Part 1, we began chronicling the rehab of our trailer. We continue now in Part 2…
While everyone loves the natural look of wood, paint was definitely a necessity for the inside of the trailer. We threw a coat of primer down and then a couple coats of some nice Behr interior/exterior enamel in a moderate gray. According to our paint consultant, this would allow the paint to tolerate temperature extremes, offer a measure of durability and be cleanable should something get messy.
Jeff (remember him from part 1, the lights guy) finished wiring the existing exterior lights, added overhead LED inside lighting and tidied up the wiring into the junction box. Plugging into the truck and testing found everything to be running great.
And seeing as how we still had almost half a can of Herculiner left, we did the floor and some more odds and ends:
Now time to bring another of Moe’s Bros ™ into play: our neighbor Paul the Eagle Scout. Paul is a very accomplished young man, a senior in high school who has achieved distinction not only as an honors student but also recently becoming an Eagle Scout and being a very conscientious worker. Paul immediately began work finishing the last wall and developing the enclosure that will house the generator.
More to follow! Stay tuned for part 3…
